{photos for our home...}

C and I spent some time this weekend sorting through our thousands of photos, deciding it's high time we enjoy them on our walls!
The top is one of my favourites. I've hung a trio of shots from the same day above our bed.

I took this one in Thimpu, Bhutan... I have a whole series of prayer flag photos from Zhongdian, China as well. They are so pretty blowing in the wind.

I took this one in Havana, Cuba. I think our living room shots will all have a touch of blue to tie in our blue lamp and blue pillow cases from India.

{we've moved...}

One of my favourite parts of traveling is coming home, especially when the seasons have changed and everything feels just a little bit different and a little bit new.
Checking the mailbox is the first thing I do, and I was so excited to find my much anitcipated moving announcements that I ordered from Julie & Kacey at Duet Letterpress. The tandem bike was just too irresistible!

{cuba!...}

Last night's So You Think You Can Dance Cha Cha by Amy and Vincent inspired me to consider Cuba for our November getaway...

I love the warm glow of these images and the vintage feel of travel that they conjure up. A few nights at the Hotel Saratoga in Havana paired with a few more sleepy days on the beach could be just the right recipe...

{mini road trip...}

I thought this weekend would never come, but alleluja, it's finally Friday! I'm wishing for a mini road trip on Sunday and daydreaming about it with these gorgeous images from my fave travel photographer this week, Stewart Ferebee... Hope your weekend wishes come true!

{ready to wear...}

Black Tomato launched their much-anticipated RTW (Ready to Wear) experiences today. The UK-based travel company is best known for their eccentric bespoke travel itineraries, like snowmobile safaris in Alaska or hiking treks in the Papua New Guinea jungle.

Now you can choose from their "off-the-rack" trips which include private villa stays. I'm thinking 7 nights at this 4 bedroom colonial gem in the beach town of Paraty, Brazil would be perfectly divine...

{beijing bliss...}

I'm feeling nostalgic for Beijing today... A ride through Ri'Tan Park in the rain.

Dinner at Tiandi Yijia.

And a few nights at the Hotel Cote Cour S.L. tucked away in one of the city's few remaining hutongs (historical alleyways).

{time to saddle up...}

It's amazing how one photo can inspire your mood, your work, your travels and your day-to-day motivations. On a flight home from London last year, I read an article about the best ranches around the world. I was completed enchanted with these photos by Stewart Ferebee and vowed to plan a solo stay at one of these ranches. Many of my postings reflect my love of all things ranch. I need to stop dreaming about it and saddle up!
