With Canada Day tomorrow, cottage country and cabin getaways are on my mind. For weeks I've been dreaming about a weekend escape to Dunton Hotsprings, Colorado.
Imagine waking up to mist steaming off your private hot spring, a stones throw from the deck of your plankboard cabin...
After a leisurely morning reading the paper and sipping tea on the deck, a bbq lunch is prepared with local produce and sweeping views of the valley...
Then a hike in the nearby mountain range....
And after, dinner with friends at a long harvest table with the summer breeze drifting through barn doors...
And finally, a moonlit dip in the hotsprings before crawling under the cozy covers of the cabin...
