I've been dying to get to this great little bistro in the West Village - August. I nearly had my next event on the back patio - can't you just see a private little cocktail party with appies made by the wood-fired oven, tea-light candles and hanging twinkly lights?
Have you ever been to Grace in Toronto (I forget the cross street but it's on College in Little Italy)? In the centre of the restaurant they have a little patio that reminds me of the one at August in your pictures. You have to reserve a space in there because there are only 3 or 4 tables...otherwise you'll have to sit inside. It's a sweet little restaurant with a delicious menu.
