My grandmother celebrated her 94th birthday yesterday, on Mother's Day. One of her favourite stories to tell is about a train ride she took from Vancouver to the Flying U where she and her best gals would spend the weekends riding. A few hunters "took a shine" to her and told her they would send her something from their hunting trip. She didn't believe them until she opened a huge parcel sent to her office the following week... a grizzly bear skin!
The ranch bug is slowly nibbling at me again as we get closer to Summer. Wouldn't a long weekend at one of these rustic tented ranches be just perfect?!

its actually The Resort at Paws Up in Montana... Stunning!

It's like Glamping but with a rustic feel to it... :-) Coincidentally, my grandmother was born on May 10 - usually falls close to Mother's Day. She passed away last August. She was 96. Or 100 - we couldn't confirm which one was her real birth year: 1910 or 1914.
