This Thursday we embrace our inner hipster back on Queen West at the Drake Hotel, host to many celebraties year 'round but especially during the Film Festival in September.
The two images below (they were so pretty I needed both!) are from an art exhibit held at the Drake entitled Appetite for Construction. Look closely, the dainty flowers of this wallpaper are made of pink flamingos!
Each of the beds in the Drake's 19 rooms greet you with a little sock personality...
The sushi bar, lounge, and café are all great places to meet for drinks and a nibble, but the best vibe of The Drake is up on the Sky Bar. Getting past the line-up can be tricky, but on a hot summer night, it's worth the wait!
Another Queen West Tip: Venture across the street to The Beaconsfield, a swanky bank-turned-pub, for Toronto's best burger!

Ha! How cute are those little sock creatures! Adds a quirky touch to your stay, much better than the usual things you find in hotels! Also that wallpaper is so clever, until I read about the flamingos I just glanced at the photos and thought they were of flowers!
